I’ll just start this newsletter by saying ‘Congratulations!’ For what now, to whom? Well, to all of us at the Chamber for creating a new event, the Best BET Bash, and pulling it off successfully! It is never easy to first come up with an idea for an event, considering all the ‘who-what-where-when’ questions that must be satisfied and then the actual stitching it all together. We had many fine individuals help in the stitching and vendors donating so that everyone who attended enjoyed the evening. We presented a giant check to the school district for $15,063.81 and will soon add another tidy sum towards next year’s grants.
 
If you have been following your Chamber emails, we have had several ribbon cuttings lately, another great sign of a robust Chamber. These have been well attended and I want to thank you for that as this is often the first introduction to us, the faces of the Chamber that these businesses experience. Again, anyone can attend; not just committee or Board members and sometimes great food is part of it! Thank you to Buttercup Catering and Upper House Restaurant for sharing your creations!
