SUMMARY:Artist Closing Reception Fr. Bill Moore ss.cc. Saturday March 30th
DESCRIPTION:Fr. Bill Moore ss.cc.\n\nThis Month's Featured Artist\n\nat\n\nSQUARE i GALLERY\n\n \n\nEmbracing The Cross\n\n \n\nThroughout the course of my art career\, with some exceptions\, I have refrained from using specific religious imagery in my work. \n\nDesiring that my art serveas a bridge rather than a wall I have sought to create works which might feed ourspiritual hunger for essential color\, textures and shapes.\n\nThese paintings crosses are inspired by the art and writings of the Spanish artist Antoni Tapies.\n\nI share in his belief that the power of the "cross" goes far beyond its use as a specifically Christian symbol. It is\, in his words "a piercing universal image that stirs so many things in our unconscious."\n\n \n\n Fr. Bill Moore SS.CC.
