DESCRIPTION:This upcoming exhibition is part of First Street Gallery's Other Eyes Guest Curator Program.  Dialogues of Practice is curated by Kristi Lippire\, an independent curator and practicing artist.\n\n\n\nDialogues of Practice Part I and Part II is a group exhibition that pairs ten Los Angeles artists with ten First Street Gallery artists. The exhibition will take place in two parts: the first opening March 14 at West Los Angeles College in Culver City and the second at First Street Gallery opening May 3.\n\n\n\nArtists for the exhibition have been paired together through a shared interest in content\, humor\, text or abstraction. Some of the art in the exhibition has been made in direct response to their partners work or in collaboration. The Dialogues of Practice exhibitions demonstrate how artists with dissimilar backgrounds and training have shared interests when it comes to their individual art practice.\n\n\n\nThe opening reception is free and open to the public. Please join us on Friday\, May 3rd\, from 6-8pm with catering from Spaggi's Restaurant and hundreds of original works on display and for sale.
