SUMMARY:League of women Voters Community Meeting and Fund Raiser
DESCRIPTION:"The United States in a Changing World"\, will be the topic of the February 9th Community Meeting and Fund Raiser of the LWV of the Claremont Area.  Professor Ed Haley\, Director of the Center for Human Rights Leadership at Claremont McKenna College will speak to the challenges our country faces amid the unpredictable global events of our times. A professor of International Strategic Studies\, he has served on the staffs of members of the U.S. Congress.  Among his recent publications are Strategies of Dominance (2006) and Strategic Foreign Assistance (2006).  He is a frequent contributor to the Christian Science Monitor.\n\n \n\nParticipants at the event will also enjoy delectable desserts from around the globe in the beautiful setting of the recently renovated Padua Hills Theatre in the foothills of Mount Baldy. The theatre is located at 4467 Padua Ave.\, Claremont. The time is from 2 to 4 pm.  Cost is $30. Reservations must be made by February 4th either through Pay Pal using the Donations button at www.claremont.ca.lwvnet.org.  or by Check to: LWV of the Claremont Area\, PO Box 1532\, Claremont\, CA 91711.
