DESCRIPTION:McKinley Children's Center to Host Inaugural "Color Fun 'n Run"\n\nSave the date for a very special day of fitness and philanthropy! On Sunday April 15\, nonprofit organizations McKinley Children's Center and A Friend in Me will be hosting the inaugural Color Fun 'n Run. \n\n\n\nJoin McKinley and A Friend in Me as they run (or walk) through McKinley Children's Center's San Dimas campus\, making their way through giant inflatable obstacles\, and getting showered with colors. Be sure to wear all-white for what is sure to be a colorful day.   Proceeds from the run will benefit two nonprofits working hard to improve the lives of local children. \n\n\n\nMcKinley Children's Center is a leader in compassionately transforming the lives of youth and families through innovative education\, counseling\, and social services.  McKinley provides immediate and long-term attention to children who have been abused and neglected.  A private\, non-profit organization with a residential treatment center\, non-public school\, Foster homes\, and a rich complement of mental health services\, the Center helps society's most emotionally injured youth heal from traumatic experiences. \n\n\n\nA Friend in Me is a Non-Profit Organization providing support and care for pediatric cancer patients and their families. A Friend In Me strives to bring patients and their families some comfort with friendly\, social activities which they otherwise would not have the opportunity to participate in.\n\nEntry is $35 and includes a T-Shirt and custom swag bag.
