DESCRIPTION:Join us in celebrating California Botanic Garden's opening of phase one of the Children's Woodland\, a new interactive space designed to build connection between kids and nature! \n\nThe opening will be in conjunction with the opening of Joy in the Garden\, a children's art exhibit to celebrate the children's garden. \n\nThere will be light refreshments and an art opening\, then a walk to the site for the ribbon cutting. \n\n \n\nJoin CalBG in celebrating the grand opening of the new Children's Woodland! This shady oasis is the first space at the Garden that is dedicated solely to children and the joy of unstructured play in nature. Grand Opening activities will include: time in the Woodland\, crafts\, storytime\, guided walks\, the Joy in the Garden Youth Art Exhibit\, and more.\n\nActivities will take place between 10 AM and 3 PM on Friday\, April 10 and Saturday\, April 11.\n\nThe Children's Woodland will be open during Garden hours: 8 AM to 7 PM.\n\n\n\nFree with Garden admission (free for CalBG Members).\n\n \n\nSpecial thanks to The Brabson Family Foundation for its generous support of the Children's Woodland at CalBG\, helping to inspire young members of our community to connect with native plants\, animals\, and outdoor play for generations to come.\n\n\n\n\n\nWE bring the BIG scissors & ribbon! \n\n\n\nCalBG's mission it so advance knowledge\, conservation\, and education of California Native Plants.
