38th Walk for the Hungry
Inland Valley Hope Partners Invites You to Help the Hungry in Your Own Community
WHEN: Sunday, October 9th , 2011
12:00pm Registration - 1:00pm Walk begins
WHERE: A 5/10K walk in Ontario's Historic College District
Chaffey High School, 1245 North Euclid Ave, Ontario
WHY: No one should go hungry! Through its four food security sites and farmers market, Inland Valley Hope Partners:
- Provides food for over 900,000 meals annually
- Helps over 75,000 individuals annually:
50% are children, 75% are working poor
- Serves 13 local communities: Chino, Chino Hills, Claremont, Diamond Bar, La Verne, Montclair, Mt. Baldy, Ontario, Pomona, Rancho Cucamonga, San Dimas, Upland and Walnut
HOW: Each Dollar Raised Buys 6 lbs of Food.
- $20 buys staple foods for a family of 4 for 5 days!
- $50 buys 300 lbs of food from the Regional Food Bank!
