CASA COLINA OFFERS FREE COMMUNITY SEMINAR ON
NEW TREATMENT OPTIONS FOR PARKINSON’S DISEASE
In its continued efforts to educate the community about new medical, surgical and rehabilitation options for people with Parkinson’s disease, Casa Colina is pleased to host a free community seminar on Tuesday, February 28.
Guest speakers include Richard Shubin, M.D., board certified neurologist and program medical director of the Casa Colina Movement Disorders Center; Ramin Amirnovin, board certified neurosurgeon with Inland Neurosurgery Institute; and Kathy SanMartino, physical therapist and neurological clinical specialist also of the Casa Colina Movement Disorders Center.
Topics of discussion include new medical and surgical options for people with Parkinson’s disease; what is deep brain stimulation and how does it benefit Parkinson’s patients; risks of deep brain stimulation; overview of therapeutic techniques and equipment designed for individuals with Parkinson’s disease; and a question and answer session.
Refreshments will be served and seating is limited.
