You are invited to join Arman Ariane of Xerxes and a prominent Iranian-American chef who will introduce you to a taste of the remarkable food of Persia.
This year, Claremont's On the Same Page celebrates author Firoozeh Dumas' child's-eye view of what it means to move from Iran to begin a new life in Whittier, CA, in her book Funny in Farsi. We watch her join her enthusiastic father as they learn about this new world - a new language, new traditions, and brand new food. And we are also onlookers at their spectacular family traditional meals, which much like our own Thanksgiving feasts, encourage preparation by many hands.
