About Us

California Botanic Garden is the largest botanic garden dedicated to California native plants, promoting botany, conservation and horticulture to inspire, inform and educate the public and scientific community about California's native flora. Experience 86 acres of California beauty, showcasing the incredible and remarkably diverse flora that makes the Golden State a biodiversity hotspot. From coast redwoods to Joshua trees, springtime poppies to majestic oaks, the Garden is a living museum of California native plants, with curated collections of more than 22,000 specimens, some of which are rare or endangered. The Garden also produces original shows that share the world of California native plants through new and exciting perspectives and hosts exhibitions that explore the connections between art and nature. We are excited to host our largest exhibition to date, Origami in the Garden² , opening Saturday, October 20. This large-scale exhibition created by artists Kevin and Jennifer Box showcases origami sculptures, crafted in museum-quality metals, in the beauty of the Garden. In partnership with the City of Claremont, we are delighted to offer Second Sundays during the exhibition. Residents of Claremont will receive free admission to the Garden on these special days!
