Description
Jane McGonigal, director of game research and development for the Institute for the Future in Palo Alto and New York Times bestselling author of Reality is Broken: Why Games Make Us Better and How They Can Change the World, will speak at 8 p.m., on November 7 at Pomona Colleges Bridges Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public, but tickets are required.
McGonigal discusses how games build positive health assets and how they can be used as powerful tools for tackling real-world problems, such as poverty, hunger and climate change. Can a game designer win the Nobel Prize? McGonigal thinks they can -- and will.
