Description
A petite Parisian known for her fashionable style, Marguerite McIntosh was the founding president of the Claremont Lewis Museum of Art and a longtime resident of Claremont. In her 100-year life she collected an amazing wardrobe. On September 12-13, the public is invited to “Marguerite’s Closet Sale” to shop for the best of these vintage treasures from 1960-2010 with all proceeds benefiting the Museum she proudly initiated.
Petite women of all ages can find cool new looks with apparel from the past. Hundreds of items will be displayed in the elegant lobby of Claremont Lincoln University: extra-small, small and medium-sized jackets, pants, dresses, silk blouses, sweaters, leather, wool, hats, belts, scarves, jewelry, and fabulous shoes (size 7-7.5 narrow) including boots, sandals and high-heel pumps.
The sale will be presented by The Revised Closet in partnership with Claremont Lincoln University at 150 W. First St., Claremont, located next to the Metrolink Station adjacent to the Claremont Lewis Museum of Art.
