Nerd Out at the Garden

Description

Your quest, should you choose to accept it: embark on a nature adventure like no other at California Botanic Garden. CalBG and Cosplay for Science invite you to enter a battle of wits with pop culture plant trivia, conquer your enemies by playing nature-themed board games, "sew" confusion with creative cosplay, feast at food trucks, embark on a native plant side quest, and more! Fun activities and challenges for all ages abound!

This festival of nature nerdiness will feature:

• A nature in pop culture trivia game.
• A pop-up museum from the nerdy educators at Cosplay for Science
• A board game extravaganza featuring nature-themed games for all ages
• Cosplay photo station and contest (with prizes!)
• Nature night walks intp the Dark Forest
• Creative crafts
• “Side Quest” native plant challenge that will have you exploring throughout the Garden
• Food trucks & more

A few important notes about this event:

• Cosplay of all kinds is welcome at Nerd Out at the Garden, but please keep in mind that this is an all-ages, family friendly event and no weapons or simulated weapons are allowed.
• Food and drink will be available for purchase at Nerd Out in the Garden. No outside food or drink is allowed.
• Nerd Out at the Garden tickets are non-refundable, but may be redeemed for a Daily Admission ticket to the Garden upon request.
• Parking may be impacted during larger events at the Garden. We recommend carpooling, taking rideshares, or walking if possible. Please allow extra time for parking in your schedule.
