Claremont Courier Appoints Anna Hoy as First General Manager

Claremont, CA — The Claremont Courier is proud to announce Anna Hoy as its first-ever General Manager, overseeing business operations, revenue growth, and community engagement for the local newspaper.

Since joining the Courier over two years ago, Hoy has played a pivotal role in navigating the paper through a challenging media landscape. Under her leadership, the Courier achieved its first increase in advertising revenue in seven years in 2025, driven by her innovative marketing strategies and strong relationships with local businesses.

Hoy has also stabilized operations during staff transitions, secured a new mailing location, and strengthened delivery logistics. She has expanded community connections through partnerships with the Claremont Chamber of Commerce, Claremont Graduate University, and numerous local advertisers, while enhancing the Courier’s digital presence and social media reach.

Looking ahead, Hoy will continue to grow revenue through new advertising opportunities, partnerships, and community initiatives, while managing the business side of the Courier and supervising staff.
