Summary

Newcomers Access Center will host its annual gala, Welcoming Newcomers, on Sunday, April 12, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Ontario, California. This year’s theme celebrates the resilience of immigrant and refugee families and highlights the collective power of community support. Proceeds from the event will directly benefit NAC programs that provide housing, transportation, and long-term stability for the families we serve.

The evening will feature keynote speaker Rigoberto Reyes, Director of Los Angeles County’s Office of Immigrant Affairs, recognized by NAC for his lifelong dedication to service, civil rights, and strengthening immigrant communities across the region.

Adding to the celebration, the gala will be emceed by Greg Bennick, Founder and Executive Director of One Hundred for Haiti. Known for his dynamic presence, Bennick will guide guests through an engaging, high-energy program filled with community connection, inspiration, and a touch of magic. Attendees can expect a vibrant atmosphere with meaningful moments that uplift the courage of newcomer families and reaffirm NAC’s mission of welcoming and supporting immigrants and refugees.

“Welcoming Newcomers is about more than fundraising,” says NAC Executive Director Dr. Juju Lelliott. “It is a meaningful convening of regional leaders who stand publicly with immigrant communities.”
