New Member Spotlight - Claremont United Church of Christ

Claremont United Church of Christ has been a part of the Claremont community for over 125 years, and is thrilled to be partnering with the Chamber of Commerce!

Claremont UCC recently welcomed two new pastors, Rev. Jen Strickland and Rev. Jacob Buchholz, who met at Princeton Theological Seminary and later married.  They are passionate about creating vibrant Sunday Worship and bringing a new sense of community to the church and the city.

We are an Open and Affirming (ONA) congregation, a formal designation for UCC churches that welcome persons of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.  We take that welcome further, with the embrace of people of all races, socioeconomic status, abilities, nations of origin, and faith experiences. Jesus welcomes everyone and so do we!

Claremont UCC is involved in a wide variety of mission and social action projects, including partnering with organizations like Amnesty International, the Claremont Homeless Advocacy Program, Habitat for Humanity, Inland Valley Hope Partners, and many more! We also host a variety of self-help and recovery groups on our campus each week.

This year CUCC hopes to continue strengthening our bond with the artistic community by heading up a new Arts Guild and promoting the use of our facility for the appreciation of our local artists.  This fall we will also be hosting an Organ Concert Series, which you won’t want to miss!
