Dominique Hargreaves, Deputy Chief Sustainability Officer of the LA City Mayor’s Office, will speak on this topic about greatly reducing energy needs with renewable energy sources. In a net-zero energy community energy for vehicles, heating, cooking,electricity is met by 100% renewable energy. This talk will explore the strategies that lead to net-zero energy on a community scale.
This meeting is open to the public and is presented by the League of Women Voters of the-Mt. Baldy Area. It will be held in the San Dimas Library Meeting Room, 145 N. Walnut Ave., in San Dimas on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 6:30 to 7:45.
Dominique Hargreaves, a recipient of the Women in Sustainability Leadership Leadership Award, holds credentials in LEED, WELL, Envision and EcoDistricts. She studies sustainability rating systems and is particularly interested in the intersections between high-performance, Net-Zero buildings and health and wellness initiatives.
