Tales Told by Idiots: "Journeys"

Tales Told By Idiots is so much more than your average open mic night – it’s a space to connect with new ideas, art, and terrible anecdotes. Anyone can sign up to share a story, perform a scripted work, sing a favorite song, or play something original. The only catch is, you’ve got a different theme to riff on every night! And as a bonus, the audience will vote on their favorite act of the night, which will receive a cash prize!

This month’s theme is “Journeys”. A journey can be a trek to a far-off destination, or an obstacle riddled walk right down the street. A journey may also be something that we take as an individual, learning to negotiate what it is to be human. Tell us about your journeys!

NOTE FOR SUBMISSIONS:
All those wishing to perform may submit up to two (2) pieces for the evening. Depending on the volume of submissions, only one may be performed. Each piece must be under 5-7 minutes in length. Performers do not pay admission. Please submit the titles of your pieces along with any necessary digital music files to caitlin@opheliasjump.org. An accompanist will not be provided.
